Nino G Borromeo, PT

Nino is the director of therapy for Community Therapy and Sports Medicine. He received his degree in Physical Therapy from Cebu Doctor’s College of Medicine. He has over 32 years of clinical experience here in the U.S.A. His background is in Neurology, Pediatric cases, and Orthopedic cases. In his spare time, Nino enjoys traveling, gardening and watching his children compete in gymnastics.



Kelly Alleman, PTA

Kelly is a senior physical therapist assistant at Community Therapy and Sports Medicine. She received her degree from Penn State Mont Alto in 2006, and now has over 10 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and conditions, but particularly enjoys orthopedic cases. In addition to working in the clinic, Kelly also works part time for Community Home Health Care, providing home therapy for those patients unable to leave their homes. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time with her family. Kelly resides in Chambersburg with her husband, Eric, and daughter, Madison.



Tricia Bland, PTA

Community Therapy and Sports Medicine recently welcomed Tricia, a graduate of Penn State Mont Alto, to our outpatient clinic. Tricia is warm, energetic and effortlessly treats a wide variety of patients. Her favorite aspect of physical therapy is seeing patients return to the activities they enjoy. Outside of work, Tricia values time spent with family, reading, gardening, hiking, biking and attending her children’s various sports activities.



Sandy Defenderfer

Sandy is our office manager at Community Therapy and Sports Medicine. She has over 30 years of combined experience working in a physician’s office and outpatient physical therapy. Sandy’s outgoing personality and friendliness has made her a great addition to our staff! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren.


Brandy McClure, OTR/L

Brandy recently joined Community Therapy and Sports Medicine as our occupational therapist. Brandy is a 2006 graduate of Penn State with 10 years of experience in the field. Along with providing OT in our outpatient clinic, Brandy is also employed with Community Home Health Care providing services for patients in home.


Renee Borromeo, PT

Renee is a part-time physical therapist at Community Therapy and Sports Medicine. Dr. Borromeo is the Senior Instructor and Program Coordinator at Penn State, Mont Alto. She is the PTA Program head at University College. She received her DPT from Shenandoah University, 2011, M.A. in Physical Therapy at Standford University, 1987, and B.S. in Physical Education at James Madison. Dr. Borromeo has 29 year of clinical experience. She will be seeing pediatric patients here by appointment only.


Daniel Dandy, PT, DPT, MS

Dan joins our staff part time as a seasoned physical therapist. Dan has been a physical therapist since 1989 and has worked in a variety of settings over that time. Areas of clinical interest for him include fall prevention and functional mobility impairments. Dan is the clinical coordinator and an instructor for the PTA Program at Penn State Mont Alto and enjoys presenting community presentations on health related topics.



Cindy Garman, PTA

Cindy is a physical therapist assistant with over eight years of experience. She is a 2008 graduate of Central Penn College. As well as working in our outpatient clinic, Cindy also works for Community Home Health Care providing in home physical therapy. In her free time, she enjoys hunting, gardening and family time. Cindy resides in Carlisle with her husband, Shawn, and son, Garrett.


Kala Cordell, COTA

Kala joins Community Therapy and Sports Medicine as a graduate of Penn State University. She has experience in several settings, including home care, assisted living and skilled nursing. Kala now brings her talents to our outpatient clinic, where she enjoys helping patients get back to activities they love. In her free time, Kala enjoys gardening and spending time with her family, friends and three dachshunds.
